Why use screened fractions in automated mineralogy?
March 23, 2015Zeiss release Mineralogic Mining 1.2 update
May 25, 2015This year is the 20th anniversary of the ALTA conference and it is great to see that in conjunction with this milestone Alan and the team have made a selection of over 650 papers and proceedings free in their online library. Over the years there have been many great papers presented at the ALTA conferences and the proceedings hold a wealth of information that I encourage all our readers to have a look through and make the most of. Check out the ALTA free library here for more information. The library will initially offer the proceedings from the 1995-2009 Nickel-Cobalt conferences, which includes 350+ technical papers. The 1997-2009 Uranium proceedings will be available late March and the 1997-2009 Copper proceedings will follow in early April, bringing the total to 650+ technical papers.
The ALTA conferences have provided a wonderful platform for practical and highly relevant research for 20 years and hopefully for many more to come. With separate streams in Nickel-Cobalt-Copper, Uranium-REE and Gold-Precious Metals the conference always provides a great selection of both research oriented papers and more practical papers from operators and suppliers. MinAssist has attended a number of times and have always come away with some really valuable information to use in our projects. You might even want to track down the paper we gave on development of the Haggan deposit in Sweden for Aura Energy (ASX:AEE) in 2011.
We encourage you to sign up to the ALTA library and make the most of this opportunity. There should be even more content coming over the next few months so make the most of the chance to have access to some world class research for free.
ALTA 2015 is the 20 year anniversary of this major international event and will be held 23-30 May in Perth, Australia. For more information, please visit http://www.altamet.com.au/conferences/
