April 5, 2013MinAssist would like to welcome Al Cropp to the team. Al has nearly 10 years working within process mineralogy, primarily through developing applications for the automated mineralogy techniques of QEMSCAN and MLA. Al is a geologist and graduate of the Camborne School of Mines, and a gemologist with a Fellowship of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain.
Al specializes in working with clients to enable them to maximize their use of, and benefits from, mineralogy within the mining, mineral processing and tailings management process. Al has experience with copper and base metals, gold, coal mineralogy and environmental particulates such as dust.
Al will form a core part of the MinAssist team, expanding our expertise further in the process mineralogy and geometallurgical space. He has prepared numerous publications (link) and presented at conferences across the world on all aspects of process mineralogy, from mineral processing, to coal analysis and environmental mineralogy.
