January 17, 2013It is really great to see that MEI’s Process Mineralogy ’12 conference in Cape Town, South Africa was such a great success. Unfortunately MinAssist was unable to attend but Barry Will’s has provided a great summary on the MEI Blog. Congratulations to the MEI team and all the presenters.
It is wonderful to see such strong technical expertise being developed in the process mineralogy space. Not only in the great research that is going on in expanding the use of mineralogy into all aspects of mineral processing operations, but with the diversification of technology options. It is excellent to see new technologies in automated mineralogy coming from the likes of TESCAN and Oxford Instruments and the development in online mineral analysis is forging ahead with leaps and bounds. Of course, FEI is still pushing the boundaries with the more developed MLA and QEMSCAN and its great to see that development of the technologies is still going strong
So congratulations to everyone involved with Process Mineralogy ’12 and we will make sure we are at the next one.
